Academic Advising

An Academic Advisor can give you feedback on your course selection and timetable.  An advisor can also help you with academic appeals and other issues. Appointments can be held in-person, by email, Zoom or phone.

Study Skills Workshops

This series of FREE workshops covers a variety of valuable skills, such as note-taking, essay-writing, and how to do research.  The series is typically offered early in each term.

“Introduction to University”

This three (3) credit hour course covers practical strategies for reading texts, taking notes, getting the most out of lectures, studying for exams and writing term papers. This course is great for new students who want to prepare for university studies and current students who wish to develop and improve their study skills. Tutoring and Part-time Courses


If you are having difficulty with course material, .  The centre offers peer tutors for first year Math and Science and for Writing.

Tutoring for international students is available in a variety of subjects and in English or several other languages.  .

Student Success Advising
