Official transcripts of your academic record in an undergraduate or graduate program at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ can be obtained by submitting a request form (with fee) to the University.
New MyCreds™ Service
Transcripts will now be issued electronically through MyCreds™ and no longer via email. MyCreds™ , created by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), is a platform that offers secure-issuing, exchange, and verification of official documents from The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ and other institutions across Canada.
All electronic transcripts will be issued through MyCreds™. If your destination will not accept a transcript from MyCreds™ , you may still order a physical copy. Official transcripts cost $14+tax per copy.
How to Order a Transcript Through MyCreds™
To order official transcripts of your academic record in an undergraduate or graduate program at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½, you must fill out the Undergraduate/Graduate Transcript Request Form. Once your order form has been received, your transcript will be uploaded into MyCreds™ . Through this platform, you will be able to purchase share credits. One share credit costs $14+tax. To share your transcript with a third-party costs one share credit. You are able to purchase as many share credits as you require in the platform. MyCreds™ accepts credit card as the form of payment. If you require payment method other than credit card, please contact studentcentral@uwinnipeg.ca.

MyCreds FAQs
How do I register for a MyCreds™ credential wallet?
When you order your official transcript and it is ready to be accessed in MyCreds™, you will receive an email to either your UÂ鶹´«Ã½ webmail address (current students only) or your personal email. Follow the instructions in this email to register and create your account.
I don’t remember my password. What do I do?
You can reset the password for your MyCreds™ account by clicking on the “Can’t Sign In?” link on the MyCreds™ login page. This will send a reset password email to the email you used to register. Password reset emails will be sent to the primary email address on file.
I can’t view my transcript in MyCreds™ . What do I do?
Please check the email that was sent to you when your document was uploaded. If the issue persists, please contact our office for further assistance by emailing transcripts@uwinnipeg.ca or calling 204.988.7527.
How do share credits work?
In order to view your document for the first time, a share credit must be on your account. However, once the share credit is on your account, you may view your document as many times as you would like. Only when you decide to share your transcript will the share credit be used. After the document is shared, you will still be able to view the document. If your document was updated with new information, this new document would require another share credit on the account before viewing.
What do I do if my intended recipient is not listed as a “registered organization”?
You can still share your document with recipients not listed as a registered organization. When you are ready to share your document, use the “Generate a link to my documents” option within your MyCreds™ credential wallet and specify the recipient email in the “Recipient Email” field on the “Document sharing” form. This will send an email to the recipient with the link to access the document.
How do I know if my document has been accessed by the receiver? Can I cancel their access to the document?
When you first share a document, a notice appears in the top right hand corner of your screen to let you know your share was successful. If you would like to revoke access that was granted, you can make changes by selecting “Sharing” found in the top-left corner of the navigation bar on your mobile browser or on the top-right of the desktop browser and make adjustments by clicking on “Disable”. However, this only disables present and future access to your document.
I have questions about payments. Who do I contact?

The receiver of my transcript will not accept it via MyCreds™. What do I do?

Transcript FAQs
How long does it take to get a transcript?
It takes us about 5 business days to process a request. In special circumstances and during very busy periods it can take up to 10 business days.
How much does a transcript cost?
The cost is $14.00+tax per transcript. There are additional fees for special services such as express courier; all fees are listed on the request form.
Can I order just my undergraduate transcripts? Or just my graduate transcripts?
Undergraduate and graduate transcripts are printed together in one document, as a true reflection of your time at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½. This change came into effect May 2020 and at this time it is not possible to print them separately.
Can I order my transcript over the phone?
No. Because we require your signature in order to release your record, you cannot order transcripts over the phone.
I just need an unofficial transcript. Can you print one for me?
No. Our offices only provide official transcripts. If you simply require an unofficial version, current and past students with access to Student Planning can print unofficial transcripts for personal use. Login to , and under "Academics" select “Student Planning,” and click "Unofficial transcript" to see your grades. To print it, right click the page and select print. Typically, grades are posted about 3 to 4 weeks after the end of an exam period.
As part of ongoing account maintenance, student accounts without registration activity are deactivated. Former students whose accounts have been disabled no longer have access to WebAdvisor and unofficial transcripts. However, all students may order an official transcript.
I can’t remember my student number to fill out the form. Can you tell me my student number over the phone?
No. To protect student privacy we cannot tell you your student number or any specific information regarding your record over the phone. However, we do not need your student number to find you in our systems and provide you with a transcript; simply fill out as much information on the form as you are able and we can find you in our system.
Can someone else order a transcript for me?
Due to provincial privacy policies, under FIPPA, there are 2 ways another person can order a transcript on your behalf:
- You provide your designate with a signed letter stating that you would like them to order and/or pick up a transcript at Student Central on your behalf.
- OR - - You fill out and submit an "Authorization for Release of Information" form, available at Forms or at Student Central. It is free and only takes a minute or two.
I have a deadline to meet that is before the five business day processing time, so do you provide a rush-service?
No, we do not have a rush service. Transcripts are processed on a first-come, first-served basis as we have a very high volume of requests. If you have a specific deadline that was out of your control, you can write the date you require the transcript by, as well as the reason why you need it by that date, and we will try to complete it in time. However, due to the high volumes of requests and to keep the process fair for all students, we cannot make any guarantees regarding when we can have transcripts completed.
How do I get a transcript for Student Aid?
Students who have access to Student Planning can download a copy of their unofficial transcript, which should suffice for a student history when applying for student aid.
I am graduating soon. When will my degree appear on my transcript?
Congratulations! Your degree will appear on your transcript on the day of convocation and will remain on your record permanently thereafter. To order a transcript so it is ready soon after convocation and displays your degree information, submit your Undergraduate/Graduate Transcript Request Form at least 10 days before convocation and select “Hold until degree record after convocation” on form.
Can I order my transcript online?
Not yet but we are working on it! Currently, you can use the Undergraduate/Graduate Transcript Request Form, fill it out and then e-mail it to us at transcripts@uwinnipeg.ca.
I am a B.Ed./P.B.D.E. student. Will you automatically send a transcript to the Certification Unit for me once I graduate?
No. If you would like a transcript sent to a Certification Unit for teacher certification or salary re-classification, you will need to order a transcript and have it sent directly to the Certification Unit. Due to the volume of requests we receive, it is best if you submit this form, Undergraduate/Graduate Transcript Request Form (Print), far in advance of your convocation day. Doing so ensures that your transcript will be sent in a timely fashion following convocation.
If you have not yet graduated, to ensure your degree(s) is (are) on your transcript before it is sent to a Certification Unit, please select to have your transcript held for convocation and check off your convocation month under the “Instructions for Preparation” section of the request form.
Can I order a physical copy of my transcript?
