Records Scheduling
Records scheduling is the primary focus of records management at UÂ鶹´«Ã½. Through this process, University Records are assigned retention periods and disposition actions. These identify how long a given University Record must be kept and whether, once this period has expired, the record should be destroyed or transferred to the University Archives.
Records retention and disposition schedules are the deliverable of this process. Created in accordance with the University Records Policy, these documents list common groupings of University records and prescribe a mandatory retention period and disposition action (i.e., destroy or transfer to the University Archives) for each.
17 such schedules are being created to manage the University’s records. Completed schedules applicable to multiple University offices will be available below.
