Where can I find the UW application form?

The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ uses an online application form, which can be accessed on the website at: Admissions Requirements | Future Student | The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ (uwinnipeg.ca)  All applications are submitted online to the Admissions Office.

When is the application due?

Developmental Studies has a rolling admission, but we highly encourage students to apply at least 4-5 months before they wish to start school. This allows time for your application to be processed. The suggested deadlines to apply are:

Fall (September): July 2

Winter (January): November 1

Spring (May): March 1

Is it possible to meet with an advisor before I apply to the program?

Our advisors only meet with students who have been admitted to the program. For inquiries, please email dev.studies@uwinnipeg.ca. 

I have completed courses in another faculty/university. Are my credits transferable?

Transfer credits and course evaluations are carried out by our Admissions OfficePlease direct your inquiries at admissions@uwinnipeg.ca for more information.  

I was a previous student at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½. Do I need to process another application?

All former students who previously attended The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ one or more years ago must apply for re-admission. Students must apply for readmission by completing an Application for Continuance Form: cont-app.pdf (uwinnipeg.ca) 


 

What is the tuition fee for the Developmental Studies Program?

Can this program be completed on a part time basis?

Yes. Students can take one course per term with the exception of certain courses that must be taken simultaneously. However, please note that choosing a part-time schedule will significantly extend the time it takes to complete the program.

Is it possible to complete the program online or via distance learning?

All Developmental Studies courses are offered online for your convenience. However, some courses from other departments that are part of our curriculum may require in-person attendance. Additionally, we offer one in-person Saturday class for both the Fall and Winter terms. This blended format ensures flexibility while also providing opportunities for hands-on learning.
