Jim Silver is Professor and Chair of the Department of Urban and Inner-City Studies at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½. He has a long history of working with community-based organizations in Â鶹´«Ã½'s inner city, and has published extensively on urban poverty and Â鶹´«Ã½ inner-city issues.
His latest book is Solving Poverty: Innovative Solutions from Â鶹´«Ã½'s Inner City, published in 2016 by Fernwood Publishing. He has recently been actively involved in the creation of Merchants Corner on Selkirk Avenue, an innovative educational and student housing complex.
