Gerren McDonald's expertise is in exercise physiology (fitness training) for chronic disease sufferers. McDonald works as an instructor and certified exercise physiologist in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ and has experience in physical activity programing with children and research in environmental exercise physiology.
MacDonald obtained his MSc in environmental exercise physiology from the University of Manitoba, and is a Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology Certified Exercise Physiologist with an exercise is medicine level 2 designation. He is currently the president of the Manitoba Kinesiology Association and works with various physical health and safety organizations.
MacDonald's vision is to provide effective evidence-based programing and education on physical activity for individuals with chronic disease(s) and promote the field of Kinesiology in health initiatives, fields and practices.
