Dr. Anna Stokke is a mathematics professor at The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ and a math education advocate. In 2021 she was awarded a 3M National Teaching Fellowship, which is Canada's most prestigious award for excellence in educational leadership and teaching excellence at the post-secondary level.
She is a co-founder and the president of the non-profit organization Archimedes Math Schools, which delivers math classes to children in Grades 4 to 6.
She hosts a podcast on education and math called .
She has written editorials for several newspapers across Canada, including The Globe and Mail. She has given over 200 interviews to Canadian media on math education, both on radio and on television. She can speak to media about K-12 math or post-secondary math.
She was also awarded the 2017 PIMS Education prize, the Clifford J. Robson Award for Excellence in Teaching, a YWCA/YMCA Women of Distinction Award for Community Activism and Social Enterprise and the Clarence Atchison Award for Excellence in Community Service.
