Manitoba Fitness Council Membership Services
Job Description:
- Represent Fitness leader, prospective fitness leaders and the public in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manor while answering inquiries, program registration, etc.
- Answer and direct calls, retrieve messages and deal with customer inquiries within a respectable time.
- Register new members, renew memberships, register for all programs/events
- Maintain accurate and up to date membership files (hard and electronic copies).
- Assist in special event planning, implementation, meeting agendas/minutes and reports.
- Create events and track numbers
- Fulfill distance education mailings.
- Carry out the key components of a client focused customer service model.
- Assist in planning and implementing Fitness training and assist with program planning where assigned.
- Guide volunteers, allocating duties as required
- Conduct data entry, statistical tracking, and monitoring for the Council’s programs and activities.
- Observe and report to management any “at risk” issues
- Support statistical tracking/reporting requirements and assist in preparing regular reports as assigned/required.
- Create room bookings and be a direct liaison to the training facilities and trainers.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned that may include updating forms, membership database, member details exams, first ad etc.
- Book all exams and evaluations and host online exams.
- Performs other duties as required.
Weekly hours: 10-15
Rate of pay: $22/hr
Start date: Mid-January

As a volunteer coach, you will:
- Encourage students for positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally
- Lead physical activities such as exercises, running workouts, and games
- Engage in social-emotional learning discussions through the weekly 'word of the day'
- Assist students in reflection through journaling
- Help children read, and provide encouragement
Brainworx! Lunch Club
Through physical activity, mentoring, social-emotional learning activities and literacy support, the Brainworx! Lunch Clubs aids in educational recovery by helping students. You can volunteer online, twice a week, with sessions running 30-40 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday, from October to May.

There are also opportunities available to volunteer for the Start2Finish Running & Reading Club, which takes place once a week from January to May.
