Wesley College Founded
SEPTEMBER 1888: Wesley College was founded b
y Methodist minister Rev. George Young, who taught its first year in Grace Church, which stood on the corner of Ellice & Notre Dame. It had seven students, and is named for the 18th-century founder of Methodism, John Wesley.
