Randall Moffat graduated from The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ Collegiate in 1961, and was appointed a founding director of The University of Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation Board in 2003.

As the former chairman of Moffat Communications Limited, his vision is credited with the tremendous expansion of the company over his 38-year career and he has also been a strong advocate for the advancement of women in the broadcasting industry.

Known as the “quiet philanthropist”, Moffat has made immeasurable contributions to the community, both financially and through volunteer service.

The Moffats strongly believe in helping children and families from less advantaged communities. Moffat was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by the University in 2007.
